Michael Swanwick is one of the most revered sci-fi fantasy novelists and is the author of the subversive YA book, The Iron Dragon's Daughter. Interview with SciFi Editor John Klima
John Klima is a well respected scifi editor who got his chops from running a critically acclaimed fanzine called The Electric Velocipede. It ran scifi short stories from 2001 to 213. Klima has also worked for Asimov Analog, Tor books and the Bulletin of the Science Fiction Writers of America. He is currently a professional librarian working for a Wisconsin community library. We took to his work after reading Logorrhea, a genre short story collection which worked stories off a theme of strange words. Other antholiges Klima edited are Happily Ever After and Glitter and Mayhem, the latter a genre romp inspired by disco, rollerblading and nightclubs.

Pat Mills: On Horror and Subversive Heroes
Pat Mills is one of our favorite subersive writers for his horror epic, Requiem Vampire Knight and his post-apocalyptic sci-fi soldier romp: ABC Warriors. Mills founded 2000AD, a comics magazine that pioneered plenty of dark sci-fi tales like Nemesis, ABC Warriors, Slaine the Horned God, and may have been the seed for the grimdark subgenre in apocalyptic sci-fi.
